Christmas Eve is coming!
It's time to start baking and freezing those loaves. Bake white, wheat, banana, or some holiday variety and bring them to church on December 23 to be given to our guest on Christmas Eve. We will have labeled bags available so that loaves can be seen and easily marked identifying those ingredients that cause problems for some folks. This is our biggest opportunity of the year to share PPUMC and our bread. For questions, call Rev. Dana Norton at 972-255-4185 or email at dana@ppumc.org.
Final Week to make reservations for the Ladies Christmas Brunch
The UMW Ladies Christmas Brunch will be 10:00 am on Saturday, December 4 in the Fellowship Hall. All women of the church are invited. This year's program, "Christmas at the Movies", will be presented by our very own Karla Martin. Karla began her solo career as a singer at the age of 9 in her father's church! Her mother, a talented singer, pianist and choir director and father, a United Methodist Minister and talented singer as well, encouraged her love of music and bravely supported her zest for performing! Karla is very active in the music ministry at PPUMC and has an extensive professional performing resume both local and international.
The Brunch menu is Chicken Salad, Pasta Salad, Strawberry-Pretzel Salad, Scone, and brownie dessert. It is being catered by the Chocolate Angel Tearoom in Richardson.
Tickets are $10 and are available in the Ministries Center this Sunday. Everyone is encouraged to bring a toy to the brunch that will be donated to a local mission.
Parent's Day Out
The PPUMC Youth are providing child care on Saturday, December 4 from 9am to 4 pm for your children ages 12 months to 10 years. This is to give PPUMC families time to attend the UMW Brunch, shop or wrap Christmas gifts. Parents need to provide their child a lunch and the youth will provide snacks, crafts, and all the fun. Pre registration is required so that adequate preparations can be made for your child. Reservation forms are available in the Sunday bulletins and in the Church Office. You may also contact Peg at peg@ppumc.org to make your reservations.

Alzheimer's/Dementia Support Group meets at PPUMC
One of the most difficult challenges to individuals and families is coping with dementias like Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's Disease and dementia create stresses for families like no other crisis. As life expectancy and the incidence of dementias increase, more and more families must address the changes that will take place. Families and caregivers meet monthly, at 7:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month in room 108, and develop a support system that will help maintain their own health and well being, and optimal care for the person with dementia. Led by Marty Graham, R.N., trained as an Alzheimer's Association Support Group Facilitator, we have benefit of the many resources of the Alzheimer's Association. For more information call Marty Graham at 972-252-8241 or email at m.s.graham@mindspring.com.
