Make Northern Hills your home for Advent and Christmas.
Experience the hope, promise, and blessing of a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
Advent is a season of preparation for the joy of Christmas Day. Our theme this year is Home. The devotional book written by church members, and the preaching, will focus on what it means to be "at home" with Christ. All we like sheep have gone astray, but Christ lovingly awaits our homecoming. We belong with and to God. The season will include a Children's Christmas Program, a Cantata in the sanctuary, and an Acoustic Christmas in the worship center.
Christmas Eve at Northern Hills will offer a total of 7 candlelight communion services. Four traditional services will be held in the sanctuary: 4, 6, 8, and 11 p.m. Three contemporary services will be offered in the worship center: 4, 6, and 8 p.m.
Everyone is welcome at Northern Hills, and we mean everyone. Whether you’re “churched” or “unchurched,” rich or poor, old or young, married or single, there is a place for you at NHC.
We strive to extend the hospitality of Christ to all who come, and we work to provide worship settings and a range of ministries that respond to diverse spiritual needs and religious backgrounds. The apostle Paul said, “I become all things to all people, in order that I might win some” (1 Corinthians 9:22). We agree with Paul. The gospel is for everyone, and so is the church.
Our diversity is most reflected in our Sunday worship, held at 8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m. Our 8:30 and 11 a.m. traditional services include songs from the United Methodist Hymnal and components of UM liturgy. The 9:45 a.m. service is a contemporary service in a casual setting...our weekly “Jesus Party.” The 11 a.m. praise service is led by a large worship team and includes generous doses of prayer. In addition, New Life Deaf Fellowship meets on our campus at 11 a.m.
Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of every month and on special occasions, such as Holy Thursday and Christmas Eve.
With many opportunities for adults, plus a strong children’s and youth ministry, NHC is a place where everyone can grow in Christ and in community.
