Located in beautiful Rockport Texas, Lulus Flowers was opened on November 4th, 2005. It started when I was 21 working for my Mom and Dad at their flower shop in the San Fernando Valley in California. I realized how much I loved working with flowers and the passion for flowers that I have. I love making people happy and I love creating specials and unique designs to fit each individual's needs. I started managing my parents' flower shop after they retired in the mountains of Lake Arrowhead. Soon I had four flower shops in the San Fernando Valley. Then, in 1986, I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and opened two flower shops. They were both very successful. I sold out both shops and decided to work for someone for my next venture. I moved to Houston, Texas and I started working for a flower shop where I realized I was very good at sales. I took several design classes and attended many trade shows. I got a wonderful job offer in Colorado where my son was vice president of ten flower shops. I was a manager-in-training and learned a lot about the business part of this business.
In 2001, after missing the warm climate and the ocean, I moved to Rockport, Texas and worked in a flower shop. I had two family tragedies within nine months and lost my mom Lulu and my beautiful daughter Jessica (22 years old) who was just married for five months. I knew I had to do something to keep myself busy so I decided to open another flower shop with my fianc Tracy Hearne. We named it "Lulus Flowers" in memory of my mother Lulu.
I love the name Lulus Flowers and thought it would be a good and catchy name. My best friend Tracy and I were married on March 18th, 2006. Tracy now even does photography for weddings and parties and his photos appear in The South Texas Bridal Magazine. We love Rockport and all our customers. We continue to provide you with the best quality flowers and plants possible.
We specialize in custom beach weddings, parties and funerals. We have wedding packages starting at $99.95 and up. We feature our own unique pink conch shell arrangements with tropical orchids, pink anthuriums and stargazer lilies. We also are known for our lovely topiaries which feature hot-pink roses and cut-up limes in glass bowl. They are always a hit for any occasion. We carry a large selection of beautiful flowers, lovely house plants and European gardens. We also feature coastal gifts and pink flamingos for your garden, stuffed animals, balloons and custom-made gift baskets as well as our own line of candles.
