Georgetown Music Academy has been serving the community of Georgetown and the surrounding area since 1996. GMA offers music instruction for a variety of instruments including Voice, Piano, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Cello, Violin, Fiddle, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone and Drums. Our instructors are highly trained musicians, educators and performers who are dedicated to providing each student with the highest quality of instruction.
Our focus at Georgetown Music Academy is on music education. Many of our students are interested in composing music, developing skills to assist them in the music industry and others want to learn an instrument for personal enjoyment. Our music program includes performance preparation. A recital is offered at the end of each school year; however, all performances are optional. The purpose of our recital is to give our music students the opportunity to explore the world of performance. We believe participation in recitals will help our students in other areas of their lives, such as school auditions and leadership roles.
GMA students are all ages and levels. Some students begin studying as young as four years of age and many adults begin learning an instrument well past age sixty!! “Everyone should have the opportunity to learn music at any age,” said Richard Jones, Owner of Georgetown Music Academy. “Some of our most successful students are adults who started as beginners in our studio.” It’s never too late to learn a musical instrument at Georgetown Music Academy.
The mission of all GMA instructors is to guide students through their musical journey and to offer them the highest quality of instruction so each student may become the musician they wish to be.
Founded in 2006, Creative Soul is building a music community where student musicians can have fun learning, while instilling confidence, discipline, and recognition.
